The school’s bus system features 9 bus services from three local bus companies (contracted by the Department of Education) that collect and drop off students on a daily basis at both of our campuses.

The bus systems cover all of Ballarat and the wider community including areas as far as Ballan, Beaufort, Daylesford, Lexton and Skipton.

Approximately 70% of Ballarat Specialist School students from Prep to Year 12 travel by bus each day.

At both campuses there are assigned bus supervisors who are responsible for the day-to-day running and general logistics of the 9 bus services.

At Gillies Street Campus we have a Student Transport Manager who is responsible for the management, organisation, communication and operational logistics between our school and the bus companies.
