Senior School Events

Events and Celebrations

Across the Senior School Campus, we celebrate and recognise many events that contribute to the students' experience at the FARM. Within the Senior School, we focus all our learning through a ‘hands-on’ and real-life, authentic context approach. Many of our excursions and incursions change year-to-year due to catering to student’s individual needs and interests; these also link to projects that students are working on during VET and VPC classes.

The following events are significant for our students at the Senior School Campus:

  • Our Careers, Pathways & VASS Coordinator, organisers an annual Post School Options Expo. This is a great opportunity for outside service providers to attend and explain what they can offer.
  • Twice a year we invite our past Year 12 students back to the Senior School Campus for a Return to School Leavers Afternoon Tea. This event allows students to come back and share their journey after leaving BSS.
  • Every year all of our Senior School students are invited to attend our Formal. This is a fun-filled dance event where our VET Music students perform for us, VET Hospitality students cater and students are involved in the planning, organising and facilitating of the event during VPC classes.
  • In Year 10 students have an overnight experience at Log Cabin Camp in Creswick. This one-night camp is an opportunity for students to build upon their personal development skills.
  • Year 11 students spend two days and one night in Melbourne. This experience enables students to explore city life as well as utilise the public transport system.
  • Our Year 12 students attend a two-night camp experience at the beach. This camp is a fantastic opportunity for students to spend time as a cohort and participate in a range of activities, including time at the beach.
