The role of the Curriculum Learning Specialist encompasses a range of duties in the Early Years, Junior School and Middle School.  In addition, the Learning Specialist liaises with the Learning Specialist and Curriculum team to ensure the school’s pedagogical model is driving the teaching and learning programs in the respective curriculum areas.

With the focus on teaching and learning programs for students performing from Level D and above, the primary focus is implementing the Victorian Curriculum into our programs with a specific focus on Literacy, Numeracy, Personal and Social Capabilities and Humanities.

The Learning Specialist provides support for teachers in developing planning documentation, implementing high impact teaching strategies, modelling and mentoring, assessment and data and how these are best used to drive planning and instruction to improve our student learning outcomes.

VCAL Learning Specialist:

The role of the VCAL Learning Specialist is to support the learning and development of colleagues within the Senior School.  In addition, the VCAL Learning Specialist liaises with the other Learning Specialists and Curriculum Team to ensure the school’s pedagogical model is driving the teaching and learning programs in the respective curriculum areas.

With the focus on teaching and learning programs for students undertaking a Foundation Level VCAL certificate, the primary focus is implementing the VCAL Curriculum into our programs with a specific focus on preparing students for post-school with a hands-on approach.

The Learning Specialist provides support for teachers in developing planning documentation, implementing high impact teaching strategies, modelling and mentoring, assessment and data and how these are best used to drive planning and instruction to improve our student learning outcomes.

VET Learning Specialist:

The role of the VET Learning Specialist is to support the planning, delivery and assessment methods of internal VET programs for students within the Senior and Middle School.  In addition, the VET Learning Specialist liaises with RTO (registered training organisations) as well as the other Learning Specialists and Curriculum team to ensure the school’s pedagogy underpins all programs.

With the focus on teaching and learning programs for students undertaking a Certificate I or II, the primary focus is implementing internal VET courses into our programs with a specific focus on preparing students with skills for post-school.

The VET Learning Specialist provides support for internal VET trainers, ranging from day-to-day organisation of students through to developing comprehensive planning documentation, implementing high impact teaching strategies, modelling and mentoring, assessment and data and how these are best used to drive planning and instruction to improve our student learning outcomes.

Wellbeing and Engagement Learning Specialist

Our Wellbeing and Engagement Learning Specialist has extensive experience working with children and young people in Specialist educational settings. Their role is to support teachers, education support staff and parents around issues relating to the educational and support needs of students with regards to the Personal and Social Capabilities curriculum and student engagement.  This is achieved through the introduction and coordination of school wide curriculum programs such as; School Wide Positive Behavioural Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS), Respectful Relationships, Zones of Regulation, Equine Connected Learning and Flexible Learning Options (FLO)
